Tatsiana Serko is truly a soap master. She makes this technique look so effortless! It took me two attempts, but I was finally able to achieve something close to the goal. I can just see an entire series using this technique with color gradients. I'll certainly give it another try because I think the results can be stunning.
Here are the seven colors I used:
Pearl Yellow (TKB), Bronze Mica (TKB), Shamrock Green (The Conservatory), Peach Sunset (The Conservatory), Mermaid's Gold (TKB), Peak Green (one of my favorite greens from The Conservatory) and Coral Reef Blue (TKB).
I fragranced this soap with Forest Essential Blend from Essential Wholesale Lab. It behaved like a dream and is a subtle fragrance.
I didn't bevel these bars as I think it would detract from the design.
Thanks for visiting !!

Very nice selection of colors! I like their richness and purity! Technique is almost perfect, you just need a little slow trail. Great work!
Thank you so much, Tatsiana !! I really appreciate the critique. I plan to make another batch tomorrow night and will take your advise. It's not as easy as it looks and I wasn't sure if I had too thin a trace or if I poured too quickly or ? I'll keep trying until I get it right.
Suzy:
Great colors! And a lovely swirl on top too!

Thanks, Sly !
I hadn't thought of doing a series with this technique, but now that you mention it...that would be really fun! Really great bold colors on this one - and I love the swirl on top too!
Great job and what a neat idea to do a series! I just switched entire color palettes every attempt, lol! They turned out fantastic
Thank you, Amy - for both the comment and another great challenge! I always learn from each one.
Debi O - I think a series could be really beautiful. I want to get the technique perfected first though, so will try in some smaller tall molds first. Everyone's soaps were really gorgeous - so much color with this technique !
Beautiful soaps, Suzy! I love the bold colors you chose. I am going to have to add the Tall & Skinny Shimmy technique to my to-try list!
Thank you, Debi ! It's a fun technique and some of the most interesting were ones with varied colors!
Hey girl !! Thanks, this was a fun one and a technique I hadn't seen before. I'm concentrating on Holiday soap right now, but want to play with this technique when the rush is over. Happy Holidays to you !!
